Helping Kids Move
  • I haven't had the opportunity to work with military families with children. However, I have had a child that i needed to transfer schools because we moved cities. He was excited because I talked about all the possibilities. He had a harsh teacher so it was easy to say "your new teacher might be better" It all depends how attached the children are to their current situation. If a child didn't settle well he/she might be happy to leave. If they made a lot of friends, i would recommend staying in touch a long the way. This isn't the old pen pal/landline days. It's easier for children to stay connected with their friends.
