I've found that the BAH rates in my market don't keep up with the market rates for rentals. We are in a high demand area. With the current market conditions I propose a purchase utilizing the VA loan, various DPA programs to purchase and the BAH will often cover all the housing costs. When they PCS they have the sell and move their equityOR they can lease. if they lease they will always have a solid military tenant due to the shortage of rentals in this market.
