    Another factor that might influence housing choices could be the opportunity for work for the civilian spouse in the family.

    How do the priorities compare with civilians’ housing preferences?
    Since military members are given duty stations not always their top preference, it can be more difficult in choosing housing. For the most part, civilians have chosen on their own to live in a specific area, which could make the process in choosing a home easier. This can sway the priorities civilians have when deciding where to live, whereas for military members they have a limited time and certain criteria they want to meet during that time.
